How Does HCCIG Do This ?

Open Meetings:

HCCIG have open meetings approximately 3 times a year. This gives all members the chance to attend and listen to professional speakers on issues relevant to all CI users! It is also a unique opportunity for all to network!

Wine Bar Evenings:

HCCIG's members friends, family or new people interested in joining have the opportunity to meet, again 3 times a year in a more informal setting. The evening is dedicated to socialising and any issues, problems or information can be shared.

Other Events:

Regular trips of interest are also arranged. Example, river cruise on the Thames! Summer BBQ's London Eye and the Aquarium. The Brighton Pavilion. Future dates are published in Magnetise which comes out three times a year.

The Trustees have the pleasure of announcing HCCIG’s 10th anniversary and would like to celebrate this day on Saturday 20th March 2010. This open day event will be taking place at the Governors Hall, St Thomas’s Hospital,Westminster, commencing at 12 noon and finishing at 4pm.

A light sandwich buffet will be provided and throughout lunch there will be time for you to meet the three Manufactures; Cochlear, MED-EL and Advance Bionics, should you wish to ask questions or have a look at the latest developments. There will be two speakers, Mr Shakeel R. Saeed Professor of Otology and Consultant ENT/Skullbase Surgeon discussing “Cochlear Implants in the 21st Century: What are the Challenges?” And Maria Cameron from the Ear Foundation will be there to talk about listening to music, for example The Sound of Music, Oliver, Annie and so on.

The Agenda for the day will run as follows;
12.00-12.30 Registration
12.30-13.15 Official welcome, Mr Shakeel R. Saeed’s Presentation
13.15-14.10 Lunch followed by Tea & Coffee.
Time to meet the Manufacturers
14-10-15.15 Maria Cameron’s Presentation.
15-30-16-00 Raffle and wrap up.

There will be no admission charge for members, and a £10 charge for non members. Tickets are limited and will not be available on the day.
